UGANICS PACKAGING UPDATE
Founded in 2016 by Joan Nalubega, Uganics Repellents has come a long way from its beginnings in Mpigi located in central Uganda.
Uganics sells organic mosquito repellent products with high margins to resorts, lodges and high-end hotels to tourists looking for a natural way of preventing mosquito bites during their trips. They are then able to cross finance and subsidize sales to rural mothers at the same price as ordinary soap. The impact is leveraging an everyday consumer product to fight malaria. Mothers can protect themselves and their children against one of the biggest killers in Uganda.
Uganics needed to update their package design to better differentiate between different products, and also to show the difference between their resort products and the products being sold to local communities. Collaborating with 2 other package designers we were able to work within the production capabilities that were already in place.
